Alex Speigel
Alex Speigel is President of ONE Development, Mr. Speigel has over 30 years of direct experience in commercial and residential property development and asset management. For the decade prior to joining ONE Development, Mr. Speigel was Director of Development with Context Development Ltd., where he was responsible for the design and development of projects totaling approximately 1 million square feet of innovative residential, commercial and mixed uses. Prior to Context Development he was president of General Leaseholds Ltd., a TSX-listed real estate company with a diverse asset-management and development portfolio of primarily commercial (office, industrial and retail) properties in communities across Ontario totaling over 1.5 million square feet. Mr. Speigel has developed and/or managed over half a billion dollars of commercial and residential real estate with experience in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia, and is a registered architect having studied in Ottawa and Montreal.
Jeff O'Brien
Jeff O’Brien is the Chairman and CEO of ONE Development Corporation and has experience in commercial real estate ownership, development, and management. Mr. O’Brien is also the CEO and Director of ONE Financial Global Real Estate Advisors, manager to the ONE Financial Real Property Development & Income Balanced Offering (2008-1), an investment fund focused on investing in a balanced portfolio of high quality commercial and residential real estate properties primarily in the Canadian urban real estate markets. In addition to his real estate experience, Mr. O’Brien is the Chairman, President and CEO of ONE Financial Corporation, a specialized investment products firm providing Canadian investors with innovative investment solutions that offer the potential growth and returns of the world's equity markets, while minimizing risk to their invested capital. Since launching the first product in 2002, ONE Financial has raised over $300 million and is among Canada fastest growing investment firms. Immediately prior to founding ONE Financial, Mr. O’Brien enjoyed a successful career as an Investment Advisor within the brokerage arm of a major Canadian Chartered Bank where he managed portfolios for small to mid-sized institutions and high-net worth investors. Mr. O’Brien is a CFA Charterholder and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University.
